Text Box: Belle, pictured on a snowy day in TX—Feb/2007 —->
Born 5/2005
Belle is very swift and agile and can run at high speeds.  She loves to prompt other dogs to chase her because she knows she will always win!  Belle is very easy-going and adapts well to new situations. Her favorite treat is ice chips.
Stats: 67 lbs, 25” square

Text Box: <—- Ludo, pictured on a snowy day in TX—Feb/2007
Born 12/2002
Ludo is very obedient, affectionate and good-natured.  If a person approaches Ludo on our outings,  at first, I hold him back — not for fear that he will bite (as is the first impression) but for fear that he will “love them to death” - he will never tire of belly rubs. Most people comment on Ludo’s muscular build—he is very stealth compared to his stats.  (I always reply that it’s from all the running he gets to do on his little hobby farm!)
Stats:  83 lbs., 26-1/2 square

Text Box: Our dogs are purebred, AKC registered, Doberman Pinschers with great dispositions.  They live on our little hobby farm and are used to being around farm animals and other household pets. Our dogs are very obedient and readily accept commands from all members of our family, including our children.
We have a passion for Dobermans and have, fortunately, known no other breed. They truly live up to their high standard.
Why four dogs? We soon learned that we needed our own “pack” of dogs on our hobby farm in order to keep coyote packs away. Three or more dogs make a pack. We have set a personal limit of owning four dogs: enough to keep coyotes and other predator at bay, yet still be able to provide them with the personal care and attention they need. Here are the extended members of our family:

Text Box: <—— Beau, posed on his favorite rug — Aug /2007
Born 5/2005
Beau is Belle’s brother (and, therefore, neutered). We think of him as our Guardian Angel. He does not have all that testosterone to distract him from his true Doberman duties and does the best job of protecting the home front. He has warded off males who came calling for Belle during one of her heat cycles and, on the flip side, also warded off a neighborhood female in heat that tried to get into the yard and entice Ludo—he is like their chaperone—he keeps them faithful to one another! He also took a nasty bite from a coyote while saving our chickens from being the coyote’s dinner. Of our Dobermans, he would have been the best Schutzhund (police work) candidate and we fear for the life of anyone who would attempt to do our family harm while he is around. Beau is a cuddle bug and loves to give kisses but, if you are a stranger to him, he will insist that you prove yourself worthy of his affection before he will give an inch of it.

Text Box: Isa, pictured at 6 months old, Jan/2009 ——>
Born 7/23/08
This is Isa. She is from the ‘08 litter. She was the last one here and just wasn’t finding the right home. Then, I had to come to realize, that the right home is right here with us. She is a big ball of energy since she is still in her puppy stages. Her favorite thing to do is fetch a half filled bottle of water. Fetching with her also helps release a lot of the puppy energy she has right now. On movie nights, instead of curling up next to us and falling asleep (like the other dogs) she watches movies right along with us. She is like a child who has to have quiet with the lights out to go to sleep.

Stats:  54 lbs, 23-1/2” square (and still growing)

Belle is now spayed and, therefore, retired from breeding.  She can now enjoy life on the agility course without heat cycles getting in the way.
